Detailed tour itinerary

Day – 1
Arrive in Ulaanbaatar

Transfer to hotel. Have a rest for a while. Have a dinner at restaurant. Prepare for the trip. Overnight in the hotel. Early morning fly to Bayan Olgii province.

Day – 2
Flight to Ulgii and drive Tsambagarav National Park

Upon your arrival to Ulgii airport, you will meet our expedition team and start driving through high mountains of Western Mongolia. Drive to TsambaGarav Nat.Park meet Kazakh Eagle-hunter (2800m).Today we drive 120kms (4-5hrs ) to northeast to come Kazakh Eagle-hunter summer spending place, which is located on the north-east side of TsambaGarav Nat. Park. Meet eagle hunter and his magnificent bird. Visit his family and feel their grade hospitality. Family keep many horses to milk and make a koumis (nomadic beer). You have a chance see his grade golden eagle and learn some hunting skills. Overnight in tent. (BLD)

Day – 3
Horse Ride by TsambaGarav Nat.Park (5-6hrs)

Ride by TsambaGarav Nat.Park (5-6hrs)(2800-3100)Every day going with local horse rangers by the wild big remote mountains of TsambaGarav Nat.Park, we can watch some Argalis,Ibexs and deers. This place has many wild endangers animals and birds like snow leopard, Altai argali and Ibex, lynx, wolverine and bearded vulture, black vulture, different kinds of falcons, golden eagle and others.Overnights in tent. Day – 4 & Day – 5
Horse ride towards TsambagGarav Mountain (5-6hrs per day)

These days, you start to ride towards TsambaGarav mountain. . Tsamba-Garav Uul (the altitude 4208m) is one of the most beautiful snowcapped mountains in Mongolia.It is just on the border of three western aimags Bayan-Olgii, Uvs and Hovd. We will see the beautifull snowcapped peaks, rocky valleys and crystal clear spring waters. We visit the nomadic Urianhai families (one of western Mongolian ethnic groups, who are famous Chinggis Khaan’s heroes with bow and arrow). Last day come to north side of TsmabaGarav Nat.Park, where you will meet Uriakhai people. Overnights in tent. (BLD)

Day – 6
To Tavan Belchir and TsambaGarav waterfall

We will ride for 20-25 km to the Tavan Belchir area to the north of the TsambaGarav Nat.Park through a mountain valley. Staying nearby Tsedenbal’s ger (Urianhai family). Urianhai is one of Mongolian ethnic groups, who were the best soldiers with bow and arrow of Chinggis Khaan. Here, you can walk only few hours to reach glaciers of Tsast Uul (4208m). There is small beautiful lake surrounded by many flowers. Good for photos. Overnight in tent. (BLD)

Day – 7
Riding Tavan Belchir Mountain

After breakfast, we will continue our ride through Tavan Belchir Mountain. We will ride on a big mountain and may encounter few nomadic family along the way. We will ride out of the mountain valley and into the great steppe of the Western Mongolia. Camping next to one of Kazakh Eagle Hunters families. Overnight in the tent (BLD)

Day – 8
Drive back to Ulgii town

After breakfast, drive about 95kms and reach Olgii. With the rest of your day, it will be possible to walk into town to visit the local museum or wool and felt craft shops.  Some of the most beautiful pieces of Kazakh handicraft are the wall hangings made by Kazakh women for the walls of gers. Overnight at the hotel. Welcome dinner with short Kazakh concert in restaurant. (BLD)

Day – 9
Fly to Ulaanbaatar

After getting your forgettable lifetime experience, you will fly back to Ulaanbaatar. After breakfast, transfer to Olgiy airport to catch a flight for Ulaanbaatar. Meet by our guide and transfer to hotel. (B)
